Albert L. “Bucky” Taber, 69, of Central Square, passed away peacefully with his long-time companion by his side on Saturday, May 25, 2019. He was born in Syracuse, a son to the late Grover Sr. and Carrie Wood Taber growing up in the Cleveland area. Albert worked as a mason for most of his life for his brother’s company, Taber’s Masonry based in Central Square. He was also quite the handy man. He enjoyed woodworking; building shelves, bookcases, picnic tables and much more but above all he loved spending time with his family. Albert was predeceased by his sisters; Emily, Mary and Luella. He will be forever loved and missed by his long-time companion, Robin Smith; son, Kevin L. Smith, Jr.; six siblings, Grover Jr. “Sonny” (Shirley) Taber, Sherman (Pat) Taber, Freddie Taber, Brenda (Denzil) Smith, Christine Downing, Frank “Chuck” (Debbie) Taylor and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3-5 pm on Sunday, June 9 at the First United Methodist Church, County Route 176, Fulton.
