Christine F. Gorman

February 14, 1952 — June 24, 2024

Christine Fox Gorman, 72, of Pennellville, NY passed away peacefully at St. Luke’s Nursing Home on Monday, June 24, 2024, after a brief but courageous battle with Glioblastoma. Born February 14, 1952, a Valentine baby, to the late Floyd and Barbara (Scudder) Fox, grew up in and attended school in Fulton. She was a 1969 graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School and attended Mohawk Valley Community College. Her work history was Black Clawson, Fitzpatrick Nuclear Power Plant, and Telergy. After Telergy, Chris began her journey into the dog grooming business, opened and ran “Here Comes the Groom” one of the first mobile dog grooming businesses in Central New York. This solidified her reputation as a true “dog whisperer.” By far her greatest accomplishment was having her two children, Greg and Gretchen. She was predeceased by her sister, Marilyn McIntosh of Bradenton, FL.

Surviving are her husband of 27 years, James L. Gorman; two children, Greg (Summer) Farfaglia of Bend, OR., and Gretchen (Rob Joy) Farfaglia of Burlington, VT; two grandsons, Carmelo Farfaglia and Rex Joy; brother, Jerry (Diane) Fox of AZ; several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews; and her beloved dogs, Stella and Violet.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Upstate Cancer Center and St. Luke’s Nursing Home for their exceptional care and compassion.

As per Chris’s wishes, there will be no services. To best honor her memory, it is suggested that donations may be made to an animal shelter of your choice or better yet, adopt a pet. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Foster Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
