Charles R. Murphy

Charles R. Murphy went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 8, 2022.  He was born on May 16, 1936, in Olean, New York, to Chester and Martha (Bell) Murphy.  He was predeceased by his brother, Richard.

Charles worked at Nestle for 44 years before retirement.  He was an active member of the Fulton Alliance Church.  He enjoyed traveling 49 states and England.  He also went on a mission’s trip to France.  His hobbies included stamp collecting and woodworking.

Charlie was very devoted to his wife and family.  He is survived by his wife, Rita, of 66 years; three sons:  Charles Jr., Daniel (Betty Jean), and Timothy (Shari); grandchildren:  Timothy, Charity, Candace, Luke, Laura Bea, Michael, Chelsea, Britany, and Jelena; great grandchildren:  Lilliana, Kada, Aurora, Cassandra, Isaac, Annilea, Juliette, Connor, Evelyn, William, Arthur, Mya, Noah, Anna, Ronnie, Tracie, and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral service will be held at the Fulton Alliance Church, 1044 State Route 48, Fulton, New York, on Thursday, October 13th at 1:00 p.m. with burial to immediately follow in N. Volney Cemetery. To leave a special message for the family, please sign the guestbook.
