Timothy J. Mccarthy, Jr.

Timothy Joseph McCarthy, Jr., 55, of Oswego, New York passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Oswego Hospital. He was the son of the late Timothy and Shirley (Scharf) McCarthy.

Tim (TJ) is survived by his wife of 25 years, Faith (Graham) McCarthy; his son, Hunter McCarthy; stepson, Derek (Cara) Schute; two granddaughters, Aiyana and Aiyva Schute; sister, Michelle McCarthy; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son, Joseph Lawrence McCarthy and his sister, Ann Marie.

Tim was a graduate of Hannibal High School where was a valuable player for the football team and baseball team to which he received a scholarship. Tim was an avid hunter and fisherman. Loved playing cards and shooting pool as he was on many pool leagues. He tried to teach his three sons all kinds of sports.

Tim was blessed with many friends whom he cherished. He was a gentle giant who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Always had a smile and positive attitude. He will surely be missed.
