Obituary of Thomas W. Simmons Thomas W. Simmons, 80, of Hannibal, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Oswego Hospital. He was born in 1939, in Oswego, a son to the late Milton and Hazel Parkhurst Simmons. Tom worked for 47 years at Sealright as a mechanic in Fulton. He had a passion for farming, auctions, flea markets and yardsales. Tom enjoyed to travel and camp with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Christine Simmons and grandson, Thomas John Simmons. Thomas will be greatly missed and forever loved by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Simmons of Hannibal; nine children, William (Julie) Simmons of Hannibal, Danny Simmons of Hannibal, Patricia Sherman of Oswego, Margaret (Duane) Shepard of Hannibal, Sandra Simmons of Texas, Samuel (Angela) Simmons of Martville, Cynthia (David) Fountain of Texas, Catherine (Charles) Murphy of Alabama and Thomas “Michael” Simmons of Hannibal; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Simmons and Robert (Gloria) Simmons; one sister, Linda (David) Harvey as well many nieces and nephews.
