Obituary of Theodore Powers November 1, 2015 Theodore “Ted” Powers, 78, of Fulton, died Sunday, November 1 at University Hospital in Syracuse. A lifelong resident of Fulton, Ted had worked for Oswego County Ambulance and Hearse Service (Menter’s) in Fulton; the City of Fulton; 25 years as a tech inspector at Oswego Speedway and retired from NYS Department of Transportation. He was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps. Ted was a member of the Oswego Speedway Hall of Fame and he enjoyed all forms of auto racing as well as working on old cars. Surviving are his beloved wife of 23 years, Sandy Powers; brother, Edward Powers; children, Vickie Powers, Valerie (Tom) Puffer, Tracy Powers, Kenneth (Tammy) Sheldon, Trisha (Aaron) Matzke, Jon Powers and Renee (Dan) Catherman; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 5 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton with a 7 p.m. funeral service to follow. Burial will be private.
