Susan K. Rourke

Susan Kathleen (Miller) Rourke, 68, of Liverpool, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 22, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Fulton, she was the daughter of Edwin and Betty (Dennison) Miller and was a 1974 graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School. She obtained her RN from Cayuga Community College and worked many years for the Upstate Cancer Center where she also earned an oncology certification. After retirement, she returned to work part time as a central line nurse at HEMOC Brittonfield.

Susan was extremely nurturing, loving, kind, caring and giving. She would so often put others before herself. Those who knew her all loved her. It is truly heartbreaking to lose such a wonderful person. The world is less bright without her.

Her greatest loves were her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed music, concerts, motorcycle trips with her husband, the ocean, and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Kevin Rourke; three children, Amy (Nathan Wohlgemuth) Campolieto, Kristopher (Katie Hylind) Rourke, Kevin (Jamie Springer) Rourke; eight grandsons, three granddaughters, and one great granddaughter; her father, Edwin B. Miller, Sr. one brother, Bruce Miller.

Calling hours will be from 11-1 pm on Saturday, December 14th at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton with a service to immediately follow at 1 pm. A private burial will be in Mt. Adnah Cemetery.
