Steven E. Recore, Sr.

Steven “Peeper” E. Recore, Sr., 74, of Fulton passed away September 24, 2024.  He was born in Malone, NY to the late Eleanor and Leonard Recore, Sr., moving to Fulton, NY later in his childhood.  At age 21, Peeper met his late wife of 51 years, Wendy Recore, and together they raised 4 children. A true “jack of all trades”, Peeper enjoyed working on cars, building race cars, roofing and being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his son, Steven “Stevie” Jr.; grandchildren, Tommy and Preston; siblings, Threasa, Terri “Duke” Sr., Leonard Jr., Robin and Donald.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his children, Shawn (Rose) Recore, Star (Curt) Cain and Sue (Bill) Kuykendall; twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Nicki Recore; siblings, Rose (Kenny) Carvey, Roxanne Recore, Fred Recore, Johnny (Stephanie) Recore, Ronny Recore, Carol (Dan) Lewis and David Recore, along with many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Friday, October 11, 2024 from 3:00pm-5:00pm at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, NY 13069.
