Sharon A. Moody

Sharon A. Moody, 79 of Hannibal, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family after a long term courageous battle with breast cancer. Sharon was born on November 21, 1944, to Norman and Elizabeth Ducharme in Fulton, NY and was a graduate of G Ray Bodley High School class of 1962. Sharon retired from the Hannibal Central School District after a 20 plus year career. Sharon loved spending time with her husband and together they loved to travel, spend time with their grandchildren and their family and friends. Sharon earned an honorary Black Belt in Tang Soo Do, was an avid Yankees and Syracuse University sports fan, was involved in many community events through the years donating her time and creativity as well as a member of the Hannibal School “Sassy Ladies”.

Sharon was predeceased by her husband of 48 years Paul W. Moody, by her parents, Norman and Elizabeth Ducharme (Castleveechi) and her sister, Marcia Ingersoll.

She is survived by her two sons, Brent (Kayli) Moody of Oswego and Jason Moody of Baldwinsville; two grandsons, Jordan (Stephanie) Rourke and Sage Moody of Oswego; two great-grandchildren, Cayden and Ryder Rourke; two sisters, Janice Dashnau of Florida and Cindy Schremp of Florida; brothers in law, Richard (Anna) Moody of Oswego, and Robert Ingersoll of Nevada; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, June 18th at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal, NY 13074 with a service to immediately follow at 6 pm. Contributions in memory of Sharon may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, https://www.stjude.org/donate.
