Roy J. Maynard

Roy J. Maynard, age 75 of Hannibal, NY passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Roy was predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years, Gwenn Maynard; parents, John and Ellen Maynard; and siblings, Dolly, Cecil, Ruthy, Lester, Chester, Goldie, Victoria and Sue.

Roy is survived by his loving children, Roy Jr., John, and Donna Maynard; siblings, Ruby, Floyd, Brenda, John, Debbie and Margaret; grandchildren, Justin Booth, Brittany Bivens, Alexandria Maynard, Jasmin Sabin and Darren Sabin; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Roy enjoyed a good game of Quick Draw, a Horseshoe tournament and watching western movies. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He worked at Owens Brockway Glass Containers in Volney for many years. Roy was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend who will be missed dearly by all who loved and knew him.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, from 2pm to 4pm at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal. Burial will be in the spring in Fairdale Cemetery, where Roy will be laid to rest with his beloved wife, Gwenn. To leave a special message for the family, please sign the guestbook.
