Obituary of Robert K. Rogers Robert K. Rogers, 86, of Red Creek, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at home. He was born in 1934, in Johnson City, NY, a son to the late Kenneth and Ruth Garrett Rogers. Bob was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War as a jump instructor. He retired after 30 years at Truax and Hovey Drywall and Insulation in Liverpool and then worked at Fair Haven State Park during his retirement. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman and had an unconditional love for animals. In 1973, he and his wife, Marilyn, uprooted their family and all moved to Chugiak, Alaska where he could pursue his hunting and fishing dreams. After returning to New York, living several years at Cross Lake, in Cato, he finally found peace at Hi-Lo Acres in Red Creek. Bob was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn Rogers. He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his five children, Dennis (Roxanne) Rogers of Cato, Julie (Ted) DeForest of Red Creek, Kenneth (Sharon) Rogers of Florida, Jodi Rogers of Red Creek and Robert (Wendy) Rogers, Jr. of Tennessee; one sister, Nancy Fuller of Red Creek; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two dogs, Sassy and Foxy; two cats, Finch and Meow as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from to 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal. A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Bob’s Home, 4691 Reitz Road, Red Creek, New York.
