Obituary of Robert Lockwood August 12, 2016 Robert (Bob) Lockwood, 80, of Volney died at home on Friday with his best friend and loving wife by his side. He was born on July 10, 1936 in Coventry, NY to the late William and Sadie (Quick) Lockwood. Bob moved to Syracuse and met his soul mate Flo. Together they enjoyed raising heck with each other motorcycle riding and stock car racing. They enjoyed 59 years of loving marriage and raised four beautiful girls. Bob was predeceased by his loving daughter, Debra L. Lockwood Bartlett in 1999; his brothers and partners in crime, Alfred, Harold, Arnold, Jerry, Leon and Donald as well as his sister, Alice Fairbanks. He also had another sister whom was adopted that he was never able to meet, Betty Marie. Surviving are his wife and true love, Florence (Preeman); daughters, Roberta (Paul) Heer, Melody (Rich) Korbas and Bobby-Jo (John) Ayotte; seven grandchildren, Paul Robert (Kim) Heer, Jamie (Jason) Reed, Jason (Tania) Kerfien, John (Rachel) Kerfien, James Lockwood, Kali (Derek) Copsey and Owen Ayotte; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brother, Frank Lockwood. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. with services immediately following at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. All are welcome to join in celebrating and reminiscing Bob’s life.
