Obituary of Robert E. Calderwood May 8, 2014 Robert E. Calderwood, 89, of Fulton, passed away on Thursday May 8 at Oswego Hospital. A native of Amsterdam, he had resided in Johnstown, Phoenix and Fulton. He retired after 36 years at General Electric Company in Liverpool. Bob was a member of the Fulton Church of the Nazarene. He served in the U.S. Army at the end of World War II from 1945 to 1947 and was a member of V.F.W. Post #569 in Fulton. He was a former member of the Phoenix Lions Club and former assistant scout master of B.S.A. Troup #720 in Phoenix. Bob and his wife Mary were foster parents for over 20 years. Surviving are his wife, Mary Calderwood of Fulton; children, Paul (Kolin) Calderwood of Phoenix, Andrew (Laura) Calderwood of Liverpool and Tammy (William) Mehrtens of Lebanon, PA; grandchildren, Courtney, Paige, Ethan, Abigail and Bryce Calderwood, Leah and Nora Long and great-grandson, Carter Davidor. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 P.M. on Monday, May 12 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton with services 10 A.M. Tuesday, May 13 at the Church of the Nazarene, 910 Utica Street, Fulton.
