Obituary of Richard Mahar November 26, 2014 Richard “Ricky” James Mahar, 20, of Baldwinsville, formerly of Fulton, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 after battling an illness with his family by his side. He was born on July 8, 1994 and attended elementary and jr. high school in Fulton. Ricky graduated from Baldwinsville High School in 2012, where he received perfect grades. He completed multiple summer job programs and enjoyed working with his many teachers and aides. Ricky was an avid NASCAR fan and attended multiple races in person. He loved country music and going to concerts with his family. Ricky enjoyed driving his wheelchair and being silly with his friends and family. He also enjoyed sitting with his beloved dog, Benny. Ricky was a communicant of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Richard Mahar. Ricky is survived by his parents, Timothy and Lisa Mahar; his siblings, Megan and Jeffrey Mahar; maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Beverly DuBois; paternal grandmother, Roberta Mahar; paternal great grandfather, Francis Moore as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Ricky was an inspiration to everyone he met and his life will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 3 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fulton. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt. Calling hours will be held 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, prior to the mass in the atrium of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, corner of Rochester and South Third Sts., Fulton.
