Our wife, mother, sister and dear friend passed away on March 28th, 2025, at University Hospital after a brief illness. Phyllis was born on October 4th, 1947, to Felix and Evelyn (Lazore) Dzienisz. She is survived by her husband of 46 plus years, Martin, her sister Bernice Koes, and her children Marie Malone Brown and Aaron Malone, as well as her grandchildren Gillian Brown and Nicholas Brown.
Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, her siblings, William and Shirley Dzienisz and Elizabeth Till, and also her beloved grandson Zachary Brown.
Phyllis worked at many places, including Nestles, until it closed in 2003. After that she worked for BOCES, and finally for the Fulton City School District. She was a hall monitor/lunch lady and she loved her job. She was known for going above and beyond for many kids, and the people she worked with.
Many people knew her from her love of lottery and scratch off tickets. Her daughter had to let her know the 3 number twice a day, as well as any other game she played. Her family is going to miss her laughter, her kindness and her devotion to all of us. We are broken but sharing our stories and memories comfort us.
Calling hours and a brief service will be held at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton NY on April 4th from 5pm to 7pm. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in the near future.
