Obituary of Paul A. Dievendorf March 30, 2016 Paul A. Dievendorf, 87, of Phoenix, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 30. A native of the town of Schroeppel, he was a life resident of the Fulton-Phoenix area. Paul retired from the Syracuse City School District after many years as an automotive mechanics teacher and had worked as an associate at Chase-Pitkin Home & Garden in Clay. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1947-1950 and was a long time member of State Street United Methodist Church in Fulton. Paul was predeceased by his wife, Thelma Stauring Dievendorf and Edna Dievendorf. Surviving are his wife, Josephine Caltabiano Dievendorf of Phoenix; four sons, Paul of Fulton, Stephen (Madelyn) of Minoa, Brian (Lisa) of Fulton and Gary Dievendorf of Phoenix; step-children, Ann (Mike) Czyz of Phoenix, Laurie (Bob) Kester of Oswego, Helen Birch of Nedrow and Hazel (Ken) Rittenhouse of LaFayette; a brother, Lee (Joan) Dievendorf of Fulton; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 6 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street in Fulton with burial at Pennellville Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
