Neil E. Lockwood

Obituary of Neil E. Lockwood March 12, 2015 Neil E. Lockwood, 81, of Volney passed away Thursday at Oswego Hospital. He was born and resided in the Mt. Pleasant area. Neil had retired from the Oswego County Highway Department. He was a member of Shirts ‘N Skirts Square Dancers, the Mt. Pleasant Grange #349 and Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. He was also the president of the South Side Cemetery Association of Volney. Neil enjoyed being outdoors and farming. He was predeceased by his sister, Shirley Lockwood. Neil will be greatly missed and forever loved by his wife of 60 years, the former Janet Ellis; children, James E. Lockwood, Sr. of Volney, Robert J. Lockwood of Auburn, Kenneth B. Lockwood of Volney, Barbara J. (Michael) Fanning, of TN and Joseph N. (Robin) Lockwood of Volney; siblings, Earl Lockwood, Dennis (Elaine) Lockwood, Gerald (Linda) Lockwood, Jean (Ron) Ives; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. Contributions in memory of Neil may be made to Mt.
