Nancy Mcdevitt (Spilman) Coppola

Obituary of Nancy McDevitt (Spilman) Coppola Nancy McDevitt (Spilman) Coppola, 65, of Oswego, NY, passed away on April 21, 2020 after a brave battle with cancer, in her home with family. Nancy was born in Little Falls, NY on January 23, 1955 and was a lifelong resident of Oswego, NY. She worked in the Oswego City School District for 25 years before retiring in 2016. Nancy enjoyed crocheting, being with her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Nancy is survived by her husband, Mark Coppola, of Oswego, NY, son of Amelia (Sue) and Norman Baumgarter of Greece, NY; her daughters, Carolyn (Nathan) Shampine of Hockessin, DE, Emily (Ryan) Bazinet of Kerhonkson, NY, Deb (Dan Farley) Spilman, and Mary (Andrew) Hickey both of Syracuse, NY; her siblings Mary (David) Colvin of Endicott, NY, Michael McDevitt of Scotia, NY, and Susan (Michael) Deban of Oswego, NY; her grandchildren, Norah and Claire Shampine, Eleanor and Archer Bazinet, and Harriet and Juniper Hickey; Mark’s children, Rachel (Martin Southworth), Heather and Dylan (Cassandra) Coppola as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Nan and Joseph McDevitt and brothers, Joseph (Thomas) McDevitt and Kevin McDevitt. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Connects, Inc. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, has care of arrangements.
