Obituary of Michael A. Wood September 3, 2016 Michael A. “Woody” Wood, 50, of Volney passed away Saturday. Mike was born in Oswego Hospital on February 11, 1966 and was a graduate of both SUNY Canton and Oswego. From 1996-2015 he resided in Broadway, North Carolina, before moving back to Volney. Mike enjoyed video games, internet security and forums, computers and was a co-founder of Lavasoft with the creation of Ad-Aware. He was predeceased by a brother, Randy L. Colegrove; maternal grandparents, Albert and Marjorie French and paternal grandparents, Lewis and Bertha Wood. Mike will be forever loved by his mother, Margal and Robert Colegrove of Fulton; father, Gerald and Nancy Wood of Parish NY and Ft. Myers Fl.; siblings, Heather (Wood) and Jeremy Hibbert of New Haven, Lori (Colegrove) and Bruce Schell of Oswego, Kelly (Colegrove) and Rick Deyo, Mark Colegrove, Robert Colegrove, Jr. of Maners, NC and Rick Colegrove of Mexico, NY; grandmother, Louia Stevens and his beloved dog and constant companion, Boots. Calling hours will be Wednesday, September 14 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with a service to immediately follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. Burial will be in North Volney Cemetery, Volney with a gathering to follow at North Volney Methodist Church.
