Michael F. DePasquale, age 83, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 10, 2022. He was born May 13, 1939, in Brooklyn, NY; one of six children and the eldest son of Michael and Agnes (Yonkosky) DePasquale. He was an avid bowler and was the manager of Neptune Lanes in Brooklyn in the early 60’s. He served with pride in the US Army (1958 – 1960), serving in Korea in the DMZ Police and then as a range officer in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Mike then built a career as a Director of Loss Prevention in Lord & Taylor, Saks 5 th Ave., Barneys and Pavion.
In 1964 he married the love of his life, Grace (Zolfo). They have two wonderful loving children, James (Carole) and Christine (John); 2 beautiful grandchildren, RJ and Jolie. Mike was predeceased by his faithful canine companions, Buddy, Topaz and Dixie. Mike always enjoyed fishing and hunting on the family property in Cochecton Center, NY. Mike and Grace lived in Oceanside, NY for over 40 years before moving to Cochecton Center and then to Fulton, NY.
Mike was the best husband, father and grandfather and was so well liked by everyone who knew him. His sense of humor kept us all laughing even to his last days. His greatest joy was his family, and our hearts are now broken to pieces. We will miss him dearly and love him forever.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 4pm to 6pm with a funeral service to follow at 6pm with full military honors, at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton, NY. To leave a special message for the family, please sign the guestbook.
