Melynda A. Greenfield

Melynda Ann Greenfield, 43, of Syracuse, NY, formerly of Hannibal, NY, died peacefully with her family by her side on May 30, 2023 at University Hospital, Syracuse.

She was predeceased by her parents, John “Wes” Greenfield and Ann Greenfield Malcott.

Mindy was a 1998 graduate of Hannibal High School. She was employed by PaperWorks Industries for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and was immensely proud of her sons. She was a loving and dedicated mother, fiancée, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is survived by her fiancé, Dennis Mitchell; her sons, Wesley and Kyle Hawkins; bonus daughters, Breanna and Caitlyn Mitchell; her brother, Michael Diebel of Rome; her sister, Melissa (Tom) Fedor of Thurmont, MD, and niece Jillian, along with several uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Calling hours are 11:30 am -1:00 pm, Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal, NY 13074.  A celebration of Mindy’s life will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Hannibal American Legion Post 1552, 226 Rochester St., Hannibal, NY 13074.
