Mary Ellen Garbus

Mary Ellen Garbus, 81, of Fulton, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. She was a lifelong resident of the Fulton area. Mary Ellen worked as a supervisor for Columbia Mills in Minetto then as the purchasing agent for Nestles until they closed. She loved horses and enjoyed showing them with her daughter where they made a lot of lifelong friends. Mary Ellen enjoyed living life on the farm with her husband and the great vacations they took together. She will always be remembered by her children for being an extraordinary mother who was always there when they needed her.

Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Richard E. Garbus and her two children, Vicky (Ty Seeber) Cole and Jason (Sandy) Cole.

Calling hours will be from 2-4 pm on Monday, November 11 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Burial will be at 10 am on November 12 at Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY https://www.hospicecny.org/donate/ in Mary Ellen’s memory.
