Marlene M. Holmes

Marlene M. Holmes, 86, of Hannibal, NY passed away peacefully at St Luke's Health Services on Monday February 13 ^th , 2023.

She was born in Deer River, Minnesota, and had resided in Hannibal since 1966.

Marlene was a long-time member of the Hannibal American Legion Auxiliary. Along with her husband Norm, she enjoyed watching their favorite football team, the Minnesota Vikings as well as going to the casino with her loving daughters.

Marlene devoted her life to raising her 9 children and enjoying her many grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Norman Holmes, and her grandson, Jeremy Duger.

Surviving are her children, David (Linda) Holmes of Oswego, Terri Fairbanks (Louie) of Florida, Cindy (Chris) Castaldo, Mona (Randy) Hendricks, Jean (Steve) Hanlon, Brenda (Bill) Matson, all of Hannibal, Shelly (Tim) Shatrau of Oswego, Mark (Debbie) Holmes of Sterling and Cathy Wiggins of Liverpool; 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, as well as her sister, Michelle Girtz of Grand Rapids Minnesota.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal, NY 13074. Burial will follow at Hannibal Village Cemetery, Hannibal.
