Malcolm D. Claflin

Malcolm “Mac” D. Claflin age 89 of Fulton, NY passed away peacefully on Friday, July 19, 2024.

Mac is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Catherine C. Claflin; children, Barbara MacDougall, Nancy Chuhralya, and Douglas (Cindy) Claflin; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great -greatgrandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Mac was very involved in country music and played the fiddle semi professionally for many years. He was inducted in the country music hall of fame in Cortland, NY. In 2019 he was also inducted into the North American Fiddlers Hall of fame. Mac was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle who will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 2pm to 5pm at DJ's Diner, 1656 County Rte 45, Palermo, NY. To leave a special message for the family, please sign the guestbook.
