M. George Engle

M. George Engle, age 91 of Granby, NY passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Patricia Engle; son, David Engle; son-in-law, David Aofrate; and grandson, Kennie Hutchinson.

George is survived by his loving children, Bruce (Ellen) Engle, Carol Aofrate, Karen (Jody) Hutchinson, Dawn (Richard) Fox; daughter-in-law, Julie Engle; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

George was a Fulton Fire Fighter for over 30 years. He was an active lifetime member of the Granby Center Fire Department. He served as Asst. Chief and Fire Commissioner. George and his wife, Patricia owned and operated P&G Sales for many years. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, son, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.

In lieu of flowers, donations in George’s name may be made to the Granby Center Fire Department, 1400 County Rte 8, Fulton, NY 13069.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11am where George will be laid to rest alongside his beloved wife Patricia in Fairdale Cemetery. To leave a special message for the family, please sign the guestbook.
