Lois A. Smith

Mrs. Lois A. Smith, 91, departed this life on July 17, 2024, at Seneca Hill Manor in Oswego, NY.

Born on June 30, 1933, in Ludowici, GA, Mrs. Smith became a lifelong resident of Fulton, NY in 1957.  While in Fulton, she was a long-time employee of Nestle’s and ultimately retired in 1995.  She enjoyed watching her daily soap operas and the Golf Channel, visiting friends and family, and loving her talkative cockatiel, Tony.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Evander and Lilla Watkins; former husband, Waldo Smith; son, Windell Smith; and sister Elsie Hines.

She leaves behind her sister, Wanda Watkins of Fulton, NY; son, Vondell Smith of Independence, MO; three daughters, Granda Smith of Fulton, NY, Melinda Rufus of Bowling Green, KY, and Melva Smith of King George, VA; ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to cherish her memory.

Calling hours will be from 11-12 pm on Friday, July 26th at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton, NY with a service to immediately follow. Burial will be in Mt. Adnah Cemetery.
