Lisa E. Williams

Lisa E. Williams, 42, of Fulton, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at home. She was born in Oswego, a daughter to Robert C. McCarthy and Kathleen A. Harman. Lisa was a graduate of Oswego High School and had earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from SUNY Oswego. She was a pre-school teacher for the SUNY Oswego daycare, Oswego and Fulton YMCAs for many years and had recently worked as the Employment Services Assistant Manager for Oswego Industries.

Lisa was a devoted mother and was always involved in and supported both of her daughter’s activities; she never missed an event. She loved amusement parks and Billy Joel and was a member of the pit crew for her father’s racecar.

She was an incredible public speaker and a big advocate for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation because both of her daughter’s were born with the genetic disorder. Lisa and her mother would regularly volunteer and support the fundraising for CF. She was the founder of the Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis Walk in Oswego.

She was predeceased by her stepfather, Paul D. Vibbert; her maternal grandparents, Albert W. Harman and Ida H. Skorupski-Harman; paternal grandparents, Robert Leo McCarthy and Lucille Cortese-McCarthy

She will be forever loved and missed by her husband, John; her two daughters, Lena and Lydia; her mother, Kathleen McCarthy; her father, Bob (Kristine) McCarthy; brother, Rob (Shanna) McCarthy; mother in law, Donna Williams; sister in law, Andrea Williams; and nephews, Robert L. McCarthy II, Jacob F. McCarthy, Kian P. McCarthy, Liam C. McCarthy and Logan Sholette.

Calling hours will be from 11am – 2 pm on Saturday, March 16th at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton with a service to immediately follow at 2 pm.
