Obituary of Leon Ross Bartlett February 19, 2016 Leon Ross Bartlett, 81, of Fulton, passed away at home in the arms of his daughter, Annmarie. He retired as a production superintendent at Armstrong World Industries in Fulton and had served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1956. Ross enjoyed many activities including playing the guitar and singing, playing poker, horseshoes, bowling, gardening, hunting, fishing, watching football games, playing Quick Draw at Muskie’s, Genesee beer, O.T.B., sightseeing on the Baldwin Road in Volney and eating breakfast while harassing the waitresses at Mimi’s. Ross also enjoyed the Woodsmen’s Field Days in Boonville, NY. He was the best father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed. Ross was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife, Marion R. Thompson Bartlett in 2005; his son, Ross R. Bartlett in 1988 and siblings, Monroe, James and Mary. Surviving are his six daughters, Roberta (Charles) Spencer, Debbie Grant, Terry (Chris) Fitzgerald, Candy Bartlett-Vail, Nancy (Boe) Bonnie and Annmarie (Sheldon Rowe) Bartlett; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Jane (Robert) Daniels; an aunt, Marjorie Ruta; an uncle, Avery Bullock; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street in Fulton with services to follow at 7 p.m. A spring graveside service will be held at Mt. Adnah Cemetery in Fulton.
