Kirby was preceded in death by his parents, Eleanor and Paul Lewchanin, as well as siblings Donna Marie and Bruce Lewchanin.
Ever since he was old enough to get his license he was riding motorcycles and fixing up cars to drag race. Kirby spent many cherished hours riding his motorcycle (no matter the weather) just to “clear the cobwebs” as he would say. If he was home you could usually find him tinkering on his beloved 1955 Chevy pickup truck or one of his motorcycles. His passion for classic cars and motorcycles brought many treasured friendships in his life where he was connected with fellow people who shared his passions. When in the company of Kirby you could always be sure to get a story or two of “the good ole’ days” where he would reminisce about his days growing up in Fulton or his time spent living in Oregon and Florida. He was sure to always get you to crack a smile. Whether he was talking about getting in trouble for racing across the bridges of Fulton or the many hours spent with his dearest friends in Cal’s garage working on a car he just blew an engine racing in. No matter what he was sharing, there was always one common thread in his stories, and that was the friendships made along the way. The relationships and true friendships he shared with people were a true gift to him and he didn’t take them for granted.
A loving father, loyal brother and adored friend and confidant to many; Kirby will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. To know him was to love him. In true Kirby sign off fashion, Harley’s Forever.
A Celebration of Life is being planned and details will be announced at a later date.
