Obituary of Karen May Farnham August 4, 2015 Karen May Farnham, 68, of Hannibal, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday after a courageous battle with cancer. Karen was born on May 28, 1947, the daughter of Samuel and Madolyn Sherman and spent most of her life in Hannibal and the Syracuse area. Karen graduated Valedictorian from Onondaga Community College and Summa Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Oswego, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Karen was employed by the American Legion Post 1552 for many years and was an active member and Treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed spending time at the lake with her husband. She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her husband, William R. Farnham; three daughters, Alicia (Mike) Mooney-Flynt, Robin (Mark) Cuzzupoli and Elizabeth Mooney; two step-children, Teri (Jay) Dunsmoor and William J. (Debbie) Farnham; three siblings, Carole (Don) Tyler, Samuel Sherman and Cheryl Calkins; 12 grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Calling hours will be Friday, August 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 8 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Karen’s memory to Friends of Oswego County Hospice, P.O.
