Obituary of Joseph Lazzaro January 9, 2016 Joseph Lazzaro, 86, of New Haven, passed away on Saturday, January 9, at Crouse Hospital. He worked for Lakeshore Transportation in Oswego for many years. Joe enjoyed puttering around in his garage, working on his farm, wildlife, but most of all he enjoyed his family. Along with his wife, Elaine, they fostered 180 children over the course of 30 years. He was predeceased by his parents and seven siblings. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Elaine; five children, Debbie Lazzaro of AZ, JoAnne (Ernest) Reynolds of Mexico, Carol (David) Wood of Pulaski, Donna (Dennis) Stevens of FL and Allen Battles of Baldwinsville; three grandchildren who they raised, Russell Bristol, Tricia Bristol and Scott Awe; longtime live in, Tolby Granger; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; six siblings, Rose Tripolone of Syracuse, Virginia Clark of Oswego, Jenny Munger of Fulton, Alfia Bivens of Oswego, Grace Campbell of Central Square and Benny Lazzaro of Oswego and as well as many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, January 12 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. A service will be follow at 3 p.m. Spring burial will be in North Volney Cemetery.
