Joanne E. "Jody" Parkhurst

June 19, 1952 — May 23, 2024

Joanne E. “Jody” Parkhurst, 71, of New Haven, NY, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Oswego, she was a daughter to the late Oscar Sr. and Helen (Smith) Berry. Jody dedicated her life to her husband and raising her eight children. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, had a love for life and was faithful to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Southwest Oswego Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Phillip L. Parkhurst, Sr., eight children, Tracy (Rob) Wise, Phil (Jolene) Parkhurst, Amy (John) Cavellier, Matthew (Rebekah) Parkhurst, John (Amy) Parkhurst, Sarah (Mat) Miceli, Rachel (Todd) Heath, and Leah (Jared) Raffa; 29 grandchildren with one on the way; and five great-grandchildren; sister, Dorisann Mullen; brother, Oscar Berry, Jr.; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be from 10 am – 12 pm on Saturday, June 1st at Southwest Oswego Baptist Church, 7682 State Route 104, Oswego, NY 13126 with a service to follow at 12 pm. Burial will be in the North Scriba Baptist Cemetery, County Route 1, Scriba. Foster Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
