James L. Hackett

James “Jim” L. Hackett, age 70 of Fulton, NY passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Ada Hackett; and brother, Bill Hackett.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sandra Hackett; brother, Gary Hackett; sister, Debbie (Mike) Arnold; his favorite sister-in-law, Alice Humiston; brother-in-law, John (Debbie) Humiston; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousin, and friends.

Jim enjoyed going to the races in Oswego. He played the washtub in a blue grass band for many years. In his earlier years he enjoyed fishing and racing slot cars with friends. Jim and Sandra enjoyed spending time with each other traveling and going to casinos. Jim was a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, and friend who will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 10am to 12pm with a funeral service to follow at 12pm at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Burial will be in Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton, NY at 1pm. To leave a special message for the family, please sign the guestbook.
