Obituary of Helen Mardikian Thompson February 6, 2009 Helen M. Thompson, age 74 of Solowy Dr., Fulton died on February 6, 2009. Born in Syracuse, NY, she lived in Fulton since 1960. She was a graduate of Syracuse University and did post-graduate work at SUNY Oswego. She was a music teacher in Seneca Falls, Faith Heritage School in Syracuse and the Fulton Schools. She was a member of the Fulton Alliance Church, where she was a deaconess, Sunday school teacher and Pioneer Girls leader. She had also worked with MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) group and Senior Servants. Her husband Philip A. Thompson died in 1999. Survivors: two daughters, Gail (Chris) Peck of Trumansburg and Anne (Tim) Baker of Maple Shade, NJ; two sons, Stephen (Kim) Thompson of Tyler, TX and Daniel (Melissa) of Warwick; ten grandchildren, Gretchen, Leslie, Ethan, Josiah, Micah, Eli, Hannah, Cooper, Jesse and Xavier. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fulton Alliance Church. Spring burial will be at Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church, 1044 St. Rte. 48, Fulton.
