Obituary of Helen A. Kantak Currier October 24, 2014 Helen A. Kantak Currier, 93 of Hannibal, passed away Friday in Cortland. Born in Van Buren, Helen lived most of her life in Hannibal. She was an active auxiliary member in the V.F.W. and a communicant of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Hannibal. She was a loving mother, grandmother and enjoyed gardening, sewing and knitting. In her later life, she managed the conservation of her land. Her husband, Joseph A. Currier predeceased her. Helen is survived by her children, Patricia (Deac) Jones of Marietta, Mary (the late Richard) Camarano of Cortland, Jeanette (Robert) Cook of Washington DC and Avril (Deborah) Currier of Alpine, WY; eight grandchildren, Michael Mau, David Mau, Sean Camarano, Kim Camarano, Denelle Currier, Jeffrey Currier, Darcy Jones and Morgan Jones; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Foster Funeral Home, Hannibal. Burial will be at Belle Isle Cemetery in Warners. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.
