Gertrude "Trudy" L. Niccoli

July 23, 1951 — February 25, 2024

Ms. Gertrude “Trudy” L. Niccoli, age 72, passed away at Solaris Healthcare in St. Cloud, Florida surrounded by her children and goddaughter on February 25, 2024. She was born in Fulton, New York on July 23, 1951, and later in life she loved to split her time between New York and Florida.

She is predeceased by her beloved parents, Ernest and Dorothy Niccoli. Her siblings: Mary Seymour, John Niccoli, and her twin Dorothy Morrison. Gertrude is survived by her son, Gary Firenze, Jr.; her daughter, Beth Potocnak; 4 grandchildren, Austin Firenze, Alex Firenze, Kylee Potocnak, Mason Firenze; 2 great grandchildren, Julian and Maddox Firenze, and several nieces and nephews.

Gertrude graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School in 1969. She was a nurse for over 30 years and had great compassion for the elderly. She was a kind, sweet, and caring beautiful person who revolved her life around her family. She loved life! She is in the Bowling Hall of Fame. She loved volunteering and participated in numerous benefits to help people. She was a lifetime member of the VFW serving as president of the Ladies Auxiliary from 1990 - 1991. She loved to listen to music, play bingo and go shopping.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 11am at St. Mary's Cemetery, Fulton, NY. A celebration of life will immediately follow at the Fulton VFW. To leave a special message for the family, please sign the guestbook.
