Gary J. Kimball, 72, of Warners, New York passed away on February 22, 2023
In 1977 Gary, along with his business partner Mark Gummer, started National Audio in Baldwinsville, NY. The company specialized in sound systems, lighting systems and staging productions primary for concerts all over New England including events like the NYS Fair, Syracuse Jazz fest, and hundreds of college concert events. Gary retired from National Audio about 5 years ago.
In his free time, Gary was a very active Amateur Radio operator. Operating under the call sign WB2SER, Gary was an officer of the QCWA (quarter century wireless association) and would even keep track of the obituaries of other Amateurs that recently passed. Interestly, deceased Hams are referred to as "Silent Keys" stemming from morse code key...no longer in service.
He was predeceased by his parents, Rollin and Elizabeth Kimball from Fulton, NY.
Gary is survived by his cousin, Shirlee Loser of Florida and business partner Mark Gummer. several good friends from his Amateur Radio community along with former employees, that Gary continued to mentor right up until his passing.
Per Gary's request there will be no services. He will be laid to rest alongside his parents in Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.
Foster Funeral home, Fulton, has care of arrangements.
