Obituary of Franklin LaDeau April 24, 2014 Franklin LaDeau, 76, of Sterling, passed away on Thursday, April 24 at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse after a sudden illness. A native of Glens Falls, he lived in Sterling since 2000. Frank retired in 2000 from Finch, Pruyn & Co. in Glens Falls after 13 years and previously worked at Ciba-Geigy in Glens Falls for many years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #1763 in Wolcott and was a former Boy Scout Troup Leader, District Commissioner and recipient of the Boy Scout Wood Badge Beads. Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Barbara LaDeau of Sterling; three step-sons, Robert (Ellen) Kidwell of FL, Richard (Leigh) Kidwell of NJ and Stephen Kidwell of Ballston Spa and nine grandchildren. Calling hours are from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 29 at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street in Hannibal.
