Obituary of Eleanor L. Terpening October 8, 2015 Eleanor L. Terpening, 95, of Fulton, passed away on Thursday, October 8 after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late, Curtis and Mabel Cooper and lived in the Sterling area before moving to Fulton. Eleanor had worked at Nestle Company, Fulton for a period of time and as a waitress at Dick’s Donut Shop in Fulton and Top of the Hill Diner in Volney. She enjoyed spending her winter months in Zephyrhills, FL for many years. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Terpening in 1989; brothers, Clarence and Donald Cooper; sister, Louise Dunsmoor and by her son-in-law, Donald Smith on September 13, 2015. Surviving are her children, Larry (Barbara) Terpening and Judy Smith all of Fulton; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Blake, Maureen (Jamie) Tetro, Todd (Jennifer) Terpening, Jill (Sam) Cali, Allyson (Gary) Becker, Ryan (Michelle) Terpening and Rick (Lauri) Smith; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, Curtis (Shirley) Cooper and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 13 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14 at the funeral home with burial at Ira Union (White) Cemetery in the town of Ira immediately following. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
