Obituary of Elaine Lazzaro Elaine Lazzaro, age 86 of New Haven, NY passed away peacefully on Friday, April 15, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Georgia with her family by her side. She worked at GE and Sealright and then went on to be a foster mother for over 30 years of her life, fostering over 190 children over those years. Elaine enjoyed her flower gardens around her home, the acres of property she lived on, her casino trips, and spending time with all her grandchildren. Elaine touched many hearts through her parenting, grandparenting and fostering. Elaine was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Joseph Lazzaro; she was also predeceased by her parents and several siblings. Elaine is survived by four children, Joanne (Ernest) Reynolds, of Mexico, NY, Carol (David) Wood, of Pulaski, Donna (Dennis) Stevens, of GA, and Allen Battles of TN; step-daughter, Debbie Lazzaro, of AZ; three grandchildren who they raised, Russell Bristol, Tricia Bristol, and Scott Awe; longtime live in, Tolby Granger; 15 grandchildren; over 25 great-grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Arlene Alesci, Dorothy (Gene) Smith, Gloria (Mike) DeMar, and Diane MacDougall; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elaine’s name to Donald Mc Fee Memorial Ambulance, 52 Watson Ave, Mexico, NY 13114. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, from 11am to 1pm at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton, NY with a graveside service to follow in N. Volney Cemetery at 2pm.
