Obituary of Eileen Allen Carroll September 2, 2014 Eileen Allen Carroll, 87, of Fulton, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014. Eileen was born in Springfield, MA, the daughter of A. Alfred Allen and Margaret Lovett Allen. She was a graduate of Chicopee High School, MA, attended American International College and was a graduate of the New England College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston, MA. Eileen was a member of the Hamden County Dental Society, the Forsyth Alumni Association, the Fulton Women’s Club, A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and a life member of the Oswego Country Club. She spent many of her years dedicated to bringing better health care to Oswego County residents. Eileen served many years on the Board of Directors of A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital and the Board of Directors of Hospital Home Health Care. She was a member of the committee that founded the Hospital Home Health Care organization. Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Dr. John F. Carroll, who died September 15, 2007. Eileen is survived by her children, Kathleen Kavanagh (Padraic) of Plymouth, MA, Dr. John A. Carroll of Littleton, CO, Eireann Schulenburg (Thomas) of Rocky Hill, CT and Mary Carroll (Dan Russell) of New York, NY. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Anne and Emma Carroll, John and Eileen Russell and Ryan and Brigid Schulenburg; her sister, Marguerite Allen and her brother, John Allen and his wife Dolores. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, corners of South Third and Rochester Streets, Fulton. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours are 2 to 5 p.m. on Friday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.
