Edna (Vera) Wiebel

We regretfully announce the passing of Edna (Vera) Wiebel, 80, of Ormond Beach FL, on Thursday March 7, 2024, at Advent Health Hospital, Ormond Beach FL, Vera was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully.

Vera was born October 4,1943 in Susquehanna PA, the daughter of Clarence R. Baker and Wilhelmina (Cline) Baker.

Vera was Predeceased by her husband of 25 years, Gail L. Wiebel; her parents, Clarence and Wilhelmina Baker; sisters, Ann Abbott, and Sharon Klee.

Vera is survived by her daughter, Roberta (Daniel) Kidd; grandchildren, Derek Wiebel, and Dustyn Kidd; four great-grandchildren, Deacon, Dylan, Josie, Jace, and Sawyer; sisters, Alberta Paglia, Dale Brom, Lynette Butterbaugh, Claire Walters, Debbie Watson, Darlene Rogers, Georgia Braunle, and brother, Robert Baker.

Vera was an amazing mother, who always supported and inspired her daughter. She was a fun-loving grandmother, and great-grandmother who adored them all.

She was employed at ICM Corporation as a Supervisor from 1976 until she retired in 2004. She was known as kind, loving, and a hard worker.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, playing cards, watching sports, her great-grandchildren, living on the lake and ocean, animals, especially her dog Ranger.

Everyone that knew her loved her.

A calling hour will be held from 12-1 pm on Friday, March 15th at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal, NY 13074 will a service to follow at 1 pm. A spring burial will be in Hannibal Village Cemetery.
