Edna M. Harmony

Edna M. Harmony, 80, of Sterling, NY passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at St. Luke’s Nursing Home after a long illness. Born in Fulton, she was a daughter to the late Melvin and Wilma (Sotherden) Emmons and was a graduate of Hannibal Central Schools. Edna worked in maintenance for SUNY Oswego, retiring after 20 years. She enjoyed spending time outside, fishing, mowing her lawn and riding her motorcycle. Edna loved spending summers in Lake Placid with her family and was known for inviting the neighborhood kids along. She will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity. Edna was predeceased by her two sons, Michael and Robert LaClair and her brothers, Robert and Ronald Emmons.

Surviving are her husband of 54 years, John; her two daughters, Shelly Harmony and Heidi (Jason) Connolly; seven grandchildren, Cal and Seth Weigand, Blake and Brylea Connolly, Krystal Read, Nicolette LaClair, and Michael LaClair; one great grandchild, Grace Read; two siblings, Doris Shoults, and Roy Emmons; and several nieces and nephews.

In respect to Edna’s wishes, there will be no services. Foster Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
