Obituary of Earl F. Shortsleeve August 19, 2015 Earl F. Shortsleeve, “Shorty”, 83, of Hannibal, passed away on Wednesday, August 19 at St. Luke Health Services. He was born on January 28, 1932, in Oswego, a son to the late William and Laura Shortsleeve. Shorty was the owner of Shorty’s Trucking and Furniture and Used Car Sales in Hannibal. He enjoyed camping, playing cards and horseshoes. Along with his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Judith in 2012; son Leslie; daughter, Catherine; brothers, Ed and Louis Shortsleeve and sister, Ruth Corgnell. He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his six daughters, Susie (Mike Richards) Shortsleeve of Fulton, Cynthia (Tim Bartlett) Phelps of Volney, Patsy (Brent) Bayes of Ohio, Mary Shortsleeve of Colorado, Christine (Darryl) Rupert of Hannibal and Rebecca Shortsleeve of Hannibal; two sons, Frederick Shortsleeve of Massachusetts and Michael (Lorrie) Shortsleeve of Oswego; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Corgnell of Michigan, as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Saturday, August 22 from 11 to 1 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Upson Corners Cemetery, Palermo.
