Obituary of Earl A. Lockwood May 10, 2016 Earl A. Lockwood, Sr., 84, of Volney, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at home. He was born on October 15, 1931, in Fulton, a son to the late Charles and Margaret Rowlee Lockwood. Earl was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from 1950-1954. He was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church and The Board of Elections Town of Volney. Earl retired from Alcan Aluminum in Oswego after almost 25 years of service. He was very active in Boy Scout Troop 761 in Mount Pleasant where he had received the Boy Scout Silver Beaver Award in 1997. Earl also served as committee chairman of the Boy Scout Troop 761 for many years. He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Delores Dawn and two siblings, Shirley and Neal. He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his three sons, Earl (Bobbie Welch) Jr., of North Carolina, Terry (Dorothy) of Fulton and Larry (Jeri) of Fulton; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Gerald, Dennis and Jean all of Volney as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 16 at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Co. Rte. 45, Volney.
