Obituary of Duane A. Kerfien April 3, 2015 Duane A. “Tuff” Kerfien, 80, of Fulton, passed away Friday, April 3 at home with his loving family. He was born and raised in the Fulton – Oswego areas and had worked at Hutamaki (formerly Sealright) for 46 years until his retirement in 2000. Duane was a fan of NASCAR motor racing, and was an Oswego Speedway Push Truck Driver along with his brothers. He was a US Army veteran serving from 1957 to 1963 and a longtime member of The Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1280, Fulton. He was predeceased by his parents, Leslie Fenton Kerfien and Lottie Mae Welch Kerfien and a brother, Leslie Fenton Kerfien Jr. Duane is survived by his loving wife of 60 years the former, Shirley E. Burt; daughter, Rhonda Lee Kerfien (David) Hutchins; grandchildren, Joseph Duane Hutchins, Amy (Jeremy) Mikels, Jill (Kris) Graham, Daniel (Pamela) Hutchins, great grandchildren Mason and Colton Mikels, Alexis and Logan Graham and Brianna and Samantha Hutchins; siblings, Robert (Patricia), Fredrick (Doris), Richard (Etta), Donna (Stanley) Gilliland, Edward (Cheryl), Charles (Darlene) and Thomas D. (Janet) Kerfien all of Fulton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton.
