Dorothy T. Stone

Obituary of Dorothy T. Stone May 24, 2015 Dorothy Teepell Stone of Kirkville and formerly of Phoenix, died Sunday, May 24 at St. Joseph’s Hospital with family at her side. Dorothy worked for Sealright Co. in Fulton after graduating from Phoenix High School. Later, she had worked as Secretary for the First Baptist Church of Phoenix; sang in the Church choir and served in many volunteer capacities for years. Dorothy enjoyed camping, handcrafts, playing the piano and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was active with Camp Fire Girls of Onondaga County and the Phoenix Historical Society. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Stone, to whom she was married for 40 years. She is survived by two daughters, Candace (Keith) Johnson of York, PA and Cynthia McCarthy of Kirkville. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 29 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, Dorothy’s family is requesting contributions be made to a charity of ones choosing.
