Clifford J. Stowell

Clifford John Stowell, 94 of Bowens Corners passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, at his home. Born in Fulton, he lived his whole life in Bowens Corners. Clifford was the 7 ^th of eight children, born to Vernon C. Stowell and Eva Harris Stowell. Clifford along with his father and two brothers owned and operated the Triangle Diary Farms in Bowens Corners and the Triangle Dairy Bar in Fulton.

He married his high school sweetheart Ruth Kellogg on December 7 ^th , 1945. They were married for 72 years. Clifford was a long-time active member of the Bowens Corners United Methodist Church, serving on many committees, including being a trustee, ushering and singing in the church choir. Clifford enjoyed working in his vegetable and flower gardens, traveling, spending time in Florida during the winter, playing cards especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watching game shows on TV and spending time with family and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Stowell; daughter, Wanda Stowell; four brothers, Evart, Erwin, Clair, and Gordon; two sisters, Linda Miner and Barbara Nastasi; brother-in-law, Roger Kellogg and sister-in-law, Louise Kellogg.

Surviving are his children, Karen Stowell of Lowville, NY, Larry (Susan) Stowell, of Marietta, GA, and Dawn Stowell of Fulton; grandsons, Aaron Stowell of Clearwater, FL, Adam (Gwynne) Stowell of Alpharetta, GA; great-granddaughters, Brooke, Alexandra, Lana and Emily; sister, Hilda Paolucci of CA; brother-in-law, Wayne Kellogg of Oswego, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at Bowens Corners United Methodist Church, 758 Rte. 176, Fulton, NY 13069 on January 7, 2023, at 2pm with a celebration of life at 3pm.
