Catherine M. "Cacky" Shortslef

Obituary of Catherine M. Shortslef January 14, 2015 Catherine M. “Cacky” Shortslef, 77, peacefully passed away Wednesday at home. Born to the late W. Walter and Gladys Gray King, she had resided in the Sterling area for her entire life. “Cacky” enjoyed being an Avon lady, crocheting, assisting her elderly neighbors, being a 4H leader, working in her flower and vegetable gardens, and loved her “grand-dogs” and back yard wild life. Catherine was predeceased by an infant daughter, Jeanette in 1960. Her memory will be forever cherished by her daughters: Donna, Denise and Kenny, Deanna and John; grandchildren: April, Dustin and Vicky, and Kenny II; lovely great granddaughter Lily; sister Evelyn and her husband Duane; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be to 2 to 4 P.M. Sunday, January 18 with a service to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal. Burial will be at Springbrook Cemetery in the spring. Should friends and family desire, contributions may be sent to a local animal shelter in memory of Catherine.
