Obituary of Catherine L. Chillson January 15, 2015 Catherine Louise Chillson, 87, of County Route 7, Hannibal, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 15 at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a short illness. She was the daughter of the late, Henry and Anna Miller Woods and had attended Minetto and Oswego schools. In 1947, she married the late Donald J. Chillson. She had worked at many local factories, including 17 years at Sealright in Fulton. She was also a babysitter for several children, including many of her grandchildren. She was a past board member of the Fairdale Rural Cemetery Association and a member of the V.F.W. Post 5380 Woman’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed her flower gardens, feeding and watching the birds; but her true love was spending time with her family and attending family celebrations. Catherine was predeceased by her husband; granddaughters, Darla and Melissa Chrisman; son-in-law, Harlow Chrisman; great-grandson, Ryan Chrisman; sisters, Ruth Potter, Mary Dopp, Margaret Sharkey; brothers, John, James and Donald Woods. She is survived by her sons, Daniel (Mary) Chillson, Dennis (Michelle) Chillson; daughters, Cathy (the late Harlow) Chrisman, Karen (John) Segerlind, Donna (Steve) Moody, Carole Chillson, Kimberly (Robert) Weaver, Darleen (Kenneth) Malone, Amy (David) Cannova, all of Hannibal and Wendy (Mike) Chillson of Mexico; a brother, Harold “Skee” Woods of Syracuse; 31 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 23 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 923 Cayuga St., Hannibal. Burial in the spring will be at Fairdale Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be 12 to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 22 at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.
